Support For Lockout
Newcastle Herald
Wednesday July 2, 2008
NEWCASTLE City councillors have supported the idea of a 1am lockout and 3am closing time for all licensed premises in the Newcastle local government area.
At meeting last night they agreed to write to the Liquor Administration Board expressing in-principle support for an extension of the curfew that presently applies to 15 hotels in the central business district. The decision rests with the state authority, not the council.
